The Station 8 plankton net tow taken during summer had Coscinodiscus as well as chain diatoms. Two species ofCeratium dinoflagellates were seen, along with radiolaria (amoeboe with hard shells that fossilize well). Enjoying the feast were copepods, common marine zooplankton.
