Our continental shelf station was
centered at 42° 38' N / 69° 48' W at Wilkinson Basin within the
Gulf of Maine. Sunny weather revealed green water whose the closest paint
match was "Bavarian Forest."

micrometers) cells, undiscovered until the 1970's, are responsible
for much of the photosynthesis
in the world’s oceans. Some samples also, had small eukaryotic
cells ("E").
