East-facing continuous rocky shore exposed to moderate wave action. A coastal trail begins near the church on Washington St. and ends near Driftwood Inn on Washington St. The site is near the "Giant Staircase,"   a natural rock formation dropping 200 feet in steps to the ocean. This site shows classic rocky intertidal zonation patterns with easy access to the rocky shore and a series of tide pools from high to low intertidal positions.
